TDR Series Dual Output Time Delay Relay 12V (2 x 80A)

This 12V dual-time relay can prevent dead batteries due to added equipment loads on after-engine stops or from multiple systems connected to a battery with an independent keep-alive power draw, maximizing operational readiness.

Applications:

  • Supports on-board video systems when vehicles are not in use, allowing lengthy downloading while shutting down less time-sensitive equipment. sooner.
  • Protects sensitive onboard electronics via optional under/over voltage shutdown and start event isolation.

Features:

  • Eliminates vehicle downtime due to dead batteries; the lowest off-state current draw (1.3 mA) is available
  • Simple and robust Installation - Sealed plug with optional long wire leads; Single device replaces multiple control units and high-amp replays reduce installation time, costs, and points of potential failure
  • Additional low-amp output can be used to maintain 24-hour memory circuits or to direct other equipment to shut down
  • Bullet-proof construction - Sealed unit and high-temperature materials allow mounting anywhere on the vehicle; Integrated thermal overload protection as well
  • Meets stringent OEM standards for electrical transient self-protection
  • Adjustable OFF Time Delay - 0 seconds to 4 hours
  • Kill Switch control input option for ensuring loads are not inadvertently on, maintenance/servicing of vehicles, and emergency OFF
  • Flexible control options via ignition key, alternator voltage sense, or both
  • 4 Year Industry Leading Warranty

Specifications:

  • Maximum Current: Continuous: 80 Amps DC per Output (160 A Total); Intermittent: 120 Amps DC (5 Minutes) per Output
  • Off-State Current Draw: 1.5 mA (less than 1 Amp-hr battery dissipation per month of stand-by)
  • Operating Specifications: Voltage: 12 Vdc Nominal (8 - 18 Vdc); Temperature: -40 to 85 degrees C
  • Time Delay Options: 5 Sec through 4 hours via Dip Switches
  • Environment Protection Standards: Waterproof to IP66. IP6K9K; Ignition Protected to ISO 8846
  • Optional Features: Input stud voltage sense trigger for relay OFF; Under-voltage and over-voltage load protection

Focal Features:

Top Side Dip Switches

Accessible after installation, for programming time delay and determining active features. Protected by self-retained cover.

Stainless Steel Self-Locking Hardware

100% Non-ferrous corrosion-resistant materials. All attachment screws and nuts are self-locking.

Integral I/O Connector

Rapid and 100% correct assembly via Molex MX-150 connector eliminates poor field connections.

Standard and Optional Harnesses

The mating plugs with 2 feet of the ground and ignition wire included. Optional harnesses with additional outputs and alternate wire lengths are available

Easy Integration with CT Fuse Blocks

Optional EasyLink bus bars reduce the space and cost of connecting TDRs with CT series Fuse Blocks.

Easy Integration with RT Fuse Blocks

Optional EasyLink bus bars reduce the space and cost of connecting TDRs with RT series Fuse Blocks.

LED Diagnostics

Indicates a pending relay OFF event due to under/over voltage or external off trigger. Output on/off status is also provided.
